Terms of Service
Last updated: September 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the JoomlaHelpNow website and your purchase or use of services from JoomlaHelpNow (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting or approving services, you agree to these Terms and any written scope, quote, or service agreement that applies to the work.
1. Services
We provide Joomla support, troubleshooting, emergency response, malware investigation and removal, updates, migrations, maintenance, custom development, and related technical services. The specific services, deliverables, timing, assumptions, and price will be described in the applicable quote or written scope.
2. Requests, quotes, and approval
An enquiry or assessment request does not by itself create an obligation for either party to begin paid work. Before chargeable work starts, we will confirm the relevant scope, assumptions, price or pricing method, access needs, and any important risks. Changes to approved work may require a revised scope or quote.
3. Emergency support
Emergency requests are prioritized according to impact, available information, access, and current capacity. We will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly, but no response-time statement is a guarantee of restoration or a guaranteed service level unless a separate written agreement says so.
4. Prepaid support hours
Prepaid hour packages may be used for the services and period described at purchase. Hours are applied to approved work and are not a guarantee of a particular outcome where the underlying issue is unknown or depends on third parties. Package pricing, scheduling, expiration, transferability, refunds, and unused-hour treatment should be confirmed at checkout or in the applicable purchase terms.
5. Payment and taxes
Payment is due according to the approved quote, invoice, maintenance agreement, or package terms. Payments may be processed by a third-party provider such as PayPal and may be subject to that provider’s terms and fees. You are responsible for applicable taxes, bank charges, and accurate payment information unless agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, timely decisions, suitable access, lawful instructions, and a current backup where appropriate. You must have the authority to provide access to the website, hosting account, content, software, and systems involved in the work.
7. Access and security
You should provide temporary or least-privilege access where practical and should not send passwords through ordinary email or public forms. You remain responsible for your accounts and systems. We may pause work if access appears unsafe, unauthorized, or materially different from what was agreed.
8. Third-party systems
Joomla, extensions, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, APIs, and other third-party systems may affect the work. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, incompatibilities, account restrictions, data loss, or other events controlled by third parties, although we may assist with investigation or coordination where agreed.
9. Changes, delays, and acceptance
Timing depends on scope, access, approvals, dependencies, and the condition of the site. You should review deliverables and report material issues within a reasonable period after delivery. We may correct agreed work that does not materially match the approved scope; new requirements are handled as additional work.
10. Intellectual property
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, you retain ownership of your content, data, and pre-existing materials. After payment of applicable fees, you receive the rights to use project-specific deliverables for your website or business, subject to third-party and open-source licenses. We retain ownership of our general tools, methods, know-how, and reusable components.
11. Confidentiality
Each party should protect non-public information received from the other and use it only for the agreed relationship. Confidentiality does not apply to information that is public, already known without restriction, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law.
12. Security and malware work
Security work is performed using the information and access available at the time. No provider can guarantee that a site will never be compromised again or that every historical malicious change can be identified. You remain responsible for ongoing patching, account security, hosting, backups, and decisions about recommended follow-up work.
13. Cancellation and termination
Either party may request cancellation or termination of ongoing work subject to the applicable quote, agreement, and any outstanding payment obligations. You remain responsible for approved work completed and non-cancellable third-party costs incurred before cancellation. We may suspend or terminate work for non-payment, unlawful instructions, abusive conduct, or unsafe access.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Services are provided for the agreed purpose and scope. Except where prohibited by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular search ranking, revenue result, security outcome, or compatibility with every future software or hosting change. To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from a service is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Governing terms
The governing law, venue, dispute process, and any mandatory consumer protections should be completed for the business’s actual jurisdiction and reflected in the final reviewed version of these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, pricing, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Terms already agreed for a specific project continue to be governed by the applicable approved scope or agreement unless the parties agree otherwise.
